Quidditch Experience: Andrew began his illustrious Quidditch career as a young Hufflepuff first year in September 2054. He was initially placed as Chaser, but over the year, he gradually moved toward his preferential position: Beater, to which he played all the way through his Hogwarts Years and even after.
History: The oldest of four children, Andrew seemed to set the precedence for his younger siblings to be quidditch stars. He grew up at the Rose Family Cottage in Northern England and practically helped his mother raise each of his younger siblings in his own way. That was when he wasn't ganging up on his sister with Alex. But it was all in good fun that he did so.
In his sixth year at Hogwarts, his younger brother Alex was partnered up with Emily Descotch in Magical Creatures. Emily was a Gryffindor, just like Alex and they were both fourth years. It was when he noticed his brother working with Emily that he first noticed her beauty. But it wouldn't be until a year later when he finally had the courage to speak with her himself.
It took his brother having a talk with him over a couple of Butterbeers in Hogsmeade that Andrew finally realized that this was it. If he didn't talk to her now, then he'd regret it for the rest of his life. The following day, as if fate was listening, he literally bumped into Emily on the third floor corridor while he was walking down to the grounds for Quidditch practice, she walking to Charms class. Her books went flying and that was when he caught her eye and somehow they ended up agreeing to a date at the next Hogsmeade weekend. Things only began to fly from thereafter, their relationship growing stronger over the coming months as they knew the inevitable awaited in June; when Andrew would graduate.
Thought it terrified them, they knew somehow they would find a way to make it work. And they did.
They wrote to each other frequently during Emily's last two years at Hogwarts and saw each other in the summer time. And when Emily graduated in 2063, she received the best graduation present ever; an engagement ring. In July 2064, the two were wed in Northern England. And just over nine months later, they received another miracle; their son, Oliver.
But unfortunately, time was a gift. Just before Oliver's tenth birthday, Emily died in an accident while spectating one of Andrew's games. It was this untimely death of Emily's that led Andrew to resign from his position of beater with the Kenmare Kestrals after just under fourteen years of playing with them. Heartbroken and distraught, Andrew flew home to Northern England to grieve while his mother assisted with Oliver.

Though it was hard, the then thirty-two old knew he had to move on and do something. But he was fairly sure that his days of playing quidditch professionally were over as it was too heartbreaking to continue. Three months later, he left for Scotland with his son, starting fresh. He knew that his son would be starting Hogwarts in a year and was terrified; Emily would have known how to prepare him, but he? He was a quidditch player. He didn't know this stuff. Emily was good at this though.
Despite the fact that he was living on his own in a small flat in Scotland, Andrew spent the next year unemployed, learning from his son and growing and grieving and basically, figuring out his next move. At Ollie's eleventh birthday was when he'd come to a decision about his life. He knew that he couldn't live off his savings forever, especially now that Ollie was starting Hogwarts.
Though he didn't start looking for employment until September, once his son was off at Hogwarts. Using the courage and strength that he seemed to have gained from his son, he applied to the British Ministry of Magic, despite his background not consisting of anything governmental related. But it was different and though he knew he'd always think of Emily, at least he wouldn't be reminded her with every job task. Hopefully.
